    I think that might be due to the fact they went for the Chinese vaccine. Most of the world went for a US or EU produced jab.

      Pfizer is also available within the UAE but being distributed on a priority need basis via appointment in the local health authority app given the limited doses available.

    Wrong! The figures for Dubai for vaccinations include both residents and nationals.

    Vaccines are for free to anyone with an Emirates ID and even available at some centres without appointment if you are happy to wait a few hours.

    They even set up a field hospital today at a nearby office block to my office with a walk in service for office workers.

    The UAE is in no way perfect but they have acted to look after the interests of all residents during the pandemic.

  It was only heading one way for the UAE. Whilst the bog standard prevention measures of masks etc. are in place for most, there has been absolute failure to control those posing the highest risk for passing on the disease.
