Amex Business Platinum giving you £150 back when you spend £1,000 – in one go

American Express has launched an interesting offer for its American Express Business Platinum cardholders.

You receive £150 cashback when you spend £1,000.

There does not appear to be any restriction on where you spend the £1,000. The only rule is that you must spend the £1,000 in one transaction.

This is an ‘opt in’ offer. You need to log-in to your American Express Business Platinum account and click ‘Save to Card’.

It is not certain that all cardholders will receive this offer, but it seems very widespread.

You need to make your £1,000 transaction by 30th April. This gives you a few weeks to line up a transaction, or find out if Waitrose sells £1,000 gift cards. You can top up your Amazon account by £1,000 via this link.

The only other important rules are that the transaction must be in Sterling and that payment aggregator transactions do not count. This is not always the case, however – these are boiler plate terms which Amex copies from offer to offer without necessarily reviewing them properly.

There does not seem to be an equivalent offer for American Express Business Gold cardholders.
