BACK: BA Club World crockery and linens being sold on eBay – and get 5.6 Avios per £1 spent

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

It’s back. After the big British Airways sell-off of First Class crockery and other items before Christmas, a sale of Club World products has turned up on eBay by a company called ‘goodie.direct’.

You can see the 78 listings by clicking here.

The listings were taken down for three days whilst the company tried to clear the backlog of orders after our article on Sunday. They are now back and you can order again. People who ordered on Sunday have already started receiving their items and everything seems to be arriving well packaged and in one piece.

Pricing is very competitive compared to store prices so you are not necessarily overpaying for the British Airways association.

For example:

  • 24 piece crockery set for £42.50 (picture above) – click here
  • 10 ramekins / dessert bows (5 glass, 5 porcelain) for £21.95 – click here
  • 9 piece set of 3 long plates and 6 William Edwards mini bowls for £29.50 – click here
  • 8 x The White Company pillow cases for £18.95 – click here

With 78 different lots, and multiple quantities of most lots, you should find something to interest you. I wouldn’t hang about too long if you see something you like.

Get 9 Nectar points (5.6 Avios) per £1

On Thursday morning, eBay launched a new Nectar promotion.

You will receive 9x points per £1 for purchases over £15 made by 31st March. This will convert into 5.625 Avios per £1.

The banner may say ‘9x bonus points’, implying 10 points per £1 in total, but if you place an order you will see that it doesn’t work like that ….

You MUST register in advance via the eBay home page here. You will see a link in the rotating banner at the top or as a fixed link halfway down.

Details of how to link your Nectar card to your eBay account are on this eBay page.

Conclusion

You can see the full set of British Airways listings on eBay here. Happy hunting.

  • Isolde says:

I took a punt on some items on Sunday and received them today. As Rob says, all seems fine – they were certainly well wrapped and delivered quickly.

  • Andrew says:

There’s something odd about the contents of the White Company bags – the reseller has replaced the toothbrush and toothpaste and socks with a razor and the Refinery deodorant stick from the old Liberty bags and added a random generic hotel soap which would be a very odd thing to give someone to use on a plane.

    • David says:

      Are the bags not sealed?

      • Andrew says:

Don’t see how they can be with this contents, and the listing makes no mention of them being sealed.

    • ankomonkey says:

Mine had the toothbrush, toothpaste and socks, and no deodorant or soap.

  • James says:

There is another seller I found on ebay after seeing their ebay name in one of the listings for goodie.direct, “bamblimas”. They appear (from my limited research) to be the same company, but are also selling some BA crockery, albeit different bits to goodie.direct.

Not sure if you can post links in here, but will try anyway: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/bamblimas

  • Andrew says:

See main chat – 9x nectar points on eBay too.

  • Rosemary Leheup says:

Postage expensive. Fancied a blanket but postage doubled the price.

    • @mkcol says:

Are you sure it’s from the same seller, as I can’t see the blankets?

  • Pid says:

Got my delivery and all packed very well. Also had a few extra items such as an extra bowl, napkins and trolley cloths. Looks like they were how the items were packed for BA so the seller has just forwarded the packs rather than break them down further.

  • Kirsty Moody says:

BA Crockery sets how all showing Out of Stock!

  • Chaz says:

The stuff is OK, but am I the only one who doesn’t want my crockery marked “British Airways”? I’m not picking on BA, I also would not pay for cups and saucers marked “Great Western Railway”, “Red Funnel Ferries” or any other public transport brand.

I see it somewhere between pretentious – “look at me, my stuff is all BA Club World”, being suspected as a serial thief to have collected 8x of everything, or just a bit odd.

    Each to their own.

    • Patrick says:

The logo is on the bottom isn’t it?

    • TGLoyalty says:

It’s only marked on the bottom.

Seems good value to me for fine China etc

I only bought a few smaller dishes for snacks and dips etc

      • Patrick says:

        Indeed what I thought TG.

I feel Chaz would have had a point if the logo were visible during use. Not sure guests would be shown the underneath of crockery or that they would look where it’s from….

    • Ryan Gill says:

      Good point!
