In the hope, if not the expectation, that we will see a return to some international travel during May, we have decided to revive this ‘last chance’ feature. It ran every two weeks for a number of years until we suspended it last March.
We are also planning to revive the monthly credit card and hotel round-ups as well – keep an eye out for those.
The aim of this feature is to summarise offers that are ending soon. Years of experience of running offers for HfP readers has made it very clear that a large proportion like to leave things to the last minute ….
It pulls together the different deals mentioned in our daily articles and on our Top Avios Points Earning Offers, Top Hotel Bonus Points Offers and Top UK Credit Card Offers pages.
The list is still a little thin, but I am hoping for a surge in activity post 17th May. There may be a few things we’ve missed as we rebuild this feature – please let us know in the comments.
Hotel promotions
Here are registration links for the current hotel promotions from the major chains:
Hilton Honors – double or triple points on stays between 3rd May and 6th September – register here
IHG Rewards – earn double base points on your 2nd stay after registration and 3x base points on third and subsequent stays after registration. Offer runs between 15th May and 16th August. Register here.
World of Hyatt – earn 2,500 bonus points for every two nights you stay until 15th June. Nights do not need to be consecutive and you receive an additional free night voucher after 10 nights. Register here by 15th May
Marriott, Accor and Radisson are not currently running global promotions.

Last day to benefit from the increased ‘refer a friend’ bonuses on personal American Express cards (VERY generous – you can get up to 74,000 points between you from one application)
Saturday 15th May
Last day to register Hyatt’s ‘2,000 bonus points for every two nights’ promotion (stay by 15th June)
First day for stays to count towards the IHG Rewards Summer hotel bonus points promotion
Sunday 16th May
Last day to book in the Melia Hotels Summer sale (stay by 31st December)
Last day to book in the Best Western UK 3-4-2 sale (stay by 31st December)
Last day to book in the Radisson Hotels sale (stay by 20th June)
Monday 17th May
Restrictions on staying in hotels in England are lifted (restrictions are already lifted in Scotland and Wales)
