We ran a long article last week on how to earn and spend Avios on Vueling, IAG’s low cost European carrier.

If you live near Newcastle or Belfast, you will soon have an opportunity to try out Vueling on new flights to their base in Barcelona.

Vueling adds new services from Newcastle and Belfast
  • Newcastle to Barcelona will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays between July and October
  • Belfast City to Barcelona will operate on Mondays and Fridays between July and October

You can check pricing and times on the Vueling website here.

Remember that you will need a Vueling Club or Aer Lingus AerClub account (one which starts 3081xxxxxxxxx) if you want to earn Avios. You can transfer these to British Airways Executive Club via the ‘Combine My Avios’ function on avios.com.

  • Geoff says:

No sign of my bonus points, made the transfer on 10 February.
Spoke to Nectar this morning to be told bonus points may take 28 days to arrive from end of promotion (17 May). Does anyone know whether this is right?

    • jjh4yb says:

I made a similar query and got the same response

  • Luc says:

Just checking… As I have terrible memory… But I received an “Avios Nectar – Conversion Credit” of 1000 Avios on Jan 25th and an “Avios Nectar Launch Offer” of 500 points on March 11th… That’s correct right, without any extra online spending?

  • Aston100 says:

I received the 1000 avios followed by a further 500 avios.
However, I don’t see the double nectar points in the app or website, lump sum or otherwise.
I definitely spent over £400 within the qualifying period, and can see this on the Sainsburys Card statement.

  • David says:

Wasn’t there a10000 Nectar points bonus if you spent the £400? Or am I misremembering?

    • Rob says:

      That’s the Sainsbury’s credit card

      • David says:

Of course. Still, has anyone had these points yet, please?

        • Rob says:

They posted in a wave, last weekend or the weekend before IIRC, for those who applied on the day we first covered it.

  • Andrew says:

Hi. Converted 1600 Nectar points to 1000 Avios on 30 Jan. 500 launch offer Avios arrived 11 Mar but no sign yet of the 1000 Avios. BTW is the Nectar Credit Card when linked to Curve Blue a good way to continue collecting Avios now Lloyds are terminating the remnants of their Avios Duo cards ? 10,000 Nectar becomes 6000 Avios as a signup bonus.
