  If anyone is interested, they Hyatt offer on Plat seems to be cumulative – possibly with a twist, as it was all in one property. I stayed at the Andaz in London a couple of weeks back. Returned a few days back for meetings in the cafe and pub, all the bills together exceeded 250 so the 100 off has been triggered! Interestingly the bills coded differently on the statement.

  Is Mandarin Orchard as a brand so far below Mandarin Oriental (Top End?) that changing to a Hilton (not Top End) makes sense?

    No relation to MO. No idea the need to go to Hilton, it’s a very popular hotel in a fantastic location.

  Hilton Singapore has been a long-established property and is one of the Hilton properties on the higher tier in terms of its size, quality and standard (conversely I’d argue that a number of Hilton in London should be branded as DT instead!). I’m surprised they have made the re-brand in tandem with taking over another hotel in the area. Perhaps Mandarin Orchard and Hilton Singapore are owned by the same owner?

    That’s quite common in hotel industry. They know which hotels are up for renewal and start looking at options including signing up a new hotel.
