Book London’s Hard Rock Hotel for just £71 per night, Sunday to Thursday

Hard Rock is celebrating the 50% anniversary of its first Hard Rock Cafe, which was the London one, and as part of the event its London hotel is offering 1,971 rooms at £71 each.

For what is still, effectively, a new upmarket hotel just a few seconds from Oxford Street, it is an exceptionally good price.

The rooms are non-refundable, so this isn’t one for you if you are worried about your plans changing.

(EDIT: in 2023 the hotel rebranded as The Cumberland – see the website here.)

Hard Rock Hotel London £71 offer

How do I get my £71 Hard Rock Hotel room?

You need to visit the Hard Rock Hotel London website here.

You need to search for a room on a Sunday to Thursday evening.

The £71 rate will not show. Do not panic!

On the results page, you will see that a new box has appeared by your dates marked ‘Special codes or rates?’. Enter code ‘1971’ and refresh. An additional room option priced at £71 should appear.

When can I stay?

Rooms seem to be available until the end of 2021.

However, the further into the Autumn you go, the harder I found it to get availability later in the week. Sunday and Monday nights were easy to find near Christmas, but not other dates.

What rooms are available?

The ‘Classic’ room, which is fairly small, is £71. The picture above is of a Classic.

By default you are shown ‘Classic Single’. Make sure you toggle to ‘Classic Double’ or ‘Classic Twin’. The price will remain at £71 but you will get a bigger bed – and indeed a bigger room – so do this even if travelling by yourself.

You can pay more for a bigger room and/or better view:

  • Superior rooms are £91
  • Deluxe rooms are £111
Hard Rock Hotel London £71 deal

Do rates include breakfast?

No. This is a ‘room only’ deal. You are not exactly short of options given the location, however.

You won’t earn any points or miles from your stay but – let’s be honest – given the price you can’t really complain.

I’ve never heard of a Hard Rock Hotel in London …..

It used to be The Cumberland. It was fully renovated before reopening as the Hard Rock Hotel in mid 2019.

It still operated by glh Hotels, who also run the Claremont (ex Amba), Thistle and Guoman brands.

The hotel website is here.
