Miles & More is currently running ‘My World Challenge’. This is described as a series of miles-earning opportunities which will only be available via the Miles & More app.

The airline did email opted-in members about this, but the email was sent in Mandarin so it’s possible you didn’t fully understand what you need to do ….

If you download the Miles & More app, you will see a dropdown menu at the top called ‘My World Challenge’. This allows you to opt-in to earning 100 miles by visiting five airline pages on the Miles & More website.

It does work, shockingly. If you keep the app open on your phone whilst browing the web on a desktop, you will see a ‘success’ message pop up in the app as soon as you hit the 5th page. The miles post instantly.

The screenshot above shows what you need to do.

Unfortunately, earning 100 miles will do nothing to reset the expiry date of your existing Miles & More miles. It’s up to you whether its worth five minutes of your life to pick up 100 miles.

PS. If you’ve never downloaded the Miles & More app before, you will earn an extra bonus of 500 miles due to the promotion we discuss here.

Ibis budgets are fine. Plenty of more upmarket hotels around Heathrow if thats your thing, however – what do most people need at an airport hotel? Comfy bed and a hot shower for early of late flights. This fits the bill exactly. Shame about the hopper – however regular bus to T5 within walking distance.

The budget rooms still look like travel lodge rooms with some blue paint on the wall..
Definitely the same desk and bed surround..
    Maybe curtains changed

Is the Ibis conversion a result of the dissatisfaction that property owners were having with Travelodge?

LH Group is an utter disgrace. Cabin crews are unfriendly and rude, SWISS has already gained the arrogance of its predecessor and the service of Austrian Airlines has also been shitified like the rest of LH Group, even in Business (sorry, no other way to describe it). And the way they treated pax during Corona is unacceptable. They do treat their top HON (and maybe SEN) members well but to have such a disdain for ordinary travellers is unforgivable. And don’t get me going about IT – the Germans are back in the late 1800s somewhere. I just pray that the younger generations take over this sort of thing soon.

Frankly, I wouldn’t waste your time, effort or miles on LH Group. Use them on partners (there are a few interesting sweet spots). If I go east, I use the Middle East and Asian airlines (yes, even the Chinese airlines are better than LH Group now). Going west (which I don’t anymore) I would use Air France KLM.
