Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

The HfP chat thread – Saturday 4th December

We are running this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions.  With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article.  This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

Old chat threads are hidden from the HfP home page.  If you want to look for something in an old thread, click here.  This brings up all the articles in our ‘General’ category which includes the chat threads.

Just checking I’ve understood this correctly, regarding flying to the US.
I can’t Online Check In for a BA flight until I upload evidence of a supervised LFT into Verifly.
I can’t take the supervised LFT until the day before I fly.

But I can choose my seat for free 24hrs before departure, whether I’ve checked in or not?

    • Cabal of rabid baboons says:

You possibly need to check in before you can select your seat, you will already have had a seat allocated to you of course.

      • meta says:

No you don’t need to check in to select a seat. You can select it T-24 for free through MMB without checking in.

  • David says:
