LAST DAY: Win 20,000 Avios by completing our 2024 HfP reader survey

Today, Sunday, is your last day to win 20,000 Avios by completing our 2024 HfP reader survey.

As you’d expect from us, we have kept it short and multi-choice. We won’t take up much of your time.

This is the third time we have run this survey – the last time we did was in 2022, in the midst of covid recovery. We get some demographic data from Facebook, Twitter etc about our readers, and of course from meeting you at our reader parties, but this is always ‘best guess’ information.

By getting a clearer picture of you, it will help us shape future articles and – let’s be honest – will help us attract new advertisers. This will hopefully translate into new competitions and reader offers.

How to complete the HfP reader survey

Click here to start the survey.

The survey consists of 20 quick questions, all of which are multi choice. We estimate it will take no more than five minutes to complete and most should be able to do it far quicker.

All questions are optional. Missing out a question does not impact your chance of winning the 20,000 Avios.

You can complete the survey on a mobile or desktop device.

The survey is only open to UK residents.

How to win 20,000 Avios

If you choose to give your email address on the final page, you will be entered into a draw to win one prize of 20,000 Avios.

The winner will be selected at random after the survey closes on Sunday 7th April. The winner will need a UK-based British Airways Executive Club account to receive their prize. The email address on the British Airways account must match the email address used to complete the survey.

The small print: This survey is NOT connected to British Airways or IAG Loyalty in any way. We are simply using Avios as a prize because we know it is attractive to our readership.

Conclusion

The link to complete the HfP reader survey is here.

The form will close at midnight tonight, Sunday 7th April.

The winner of the 20,000 Avios will be announced next week. Good luck, and thank you.

Just completed it, thanks for the reminder.

Would have been good to have non-flight options included with the “cabin” question for short-haul travel.
In the last year we have made six trips to France, 4 by car and 2 by train. Three trips to Belgium, again, all by train.
Last summer we travelled to Ljubljana by train, via various scenic routes.
The only flights in that time have been to Madeira return, where flying is still the only reasonable option, and a one-way flight to Frankfurt – we returned by train.
We have a reasonable stock of avios, but are not doing anything significant to increase it. Still, it would always be nice to win
    🙂

Do you think train ticket merchants should advertise here on HfP?

      • RussellH says:

I often wonder why anyone would advertise here.
For myself, I have long since trained myself to ignore advertising.
I can hardly ever recall any adverts that I have seen after a couple of minutes

I like informative advertising. Where’s the best place to buy european train travel tickets?

          • RussellH says:

There is no one best place. Depends on where you are travelling.

You’re deluding yourself if you believe that.

Take Capital On Tap. You’ve probably never seen a single piece of COT advertising outside HfP. Everything you know about that business comes from reading our stuff. If someone asked you tomorrow about an SME card for earning Avios you’d recommend it. One reader emailed me this morning and mentioned in passing that his business spends £1m per year on the COT card they got via HfP. Despite the fact that we have made CoT a household name amongst the 100,000 or so people I’d say are our hard core readers, their annual spend with us is relative peanuts – it’s an exceptional return for them.

          • RussellH says:

As this is one of the very few sites I use where my ad-blocker may be turned off, I probably do see (for about 0.25s) CoT here sometimes – just at the moment, I do not see it. But as it is totally irrelevant to me, and I suspect to pretty much anyone else I know these days, I certainly do not remember anything about it.
In any case, I would not recommend any financial product to anyone – the most I might do is suggest that they might look into something.

As to the reader you mention above, he presumably would have read the articles on CoT, which I would hope would have carried much more weight with him than the adverts. CoT may well feel morally obliged to advertise as a quid-pro-quo for the coverage, but that is another matter.

Probably the first survey I’ve done that took less time to do than the time that was advertised.

  • goldenface says:

That survey made me feel poor. I had to select that I don’t travel for work (not important enough) and that I only book one economy flight a year. And that’s a stretch!

  • WA81741 says:

Thanks for the reminder, completed mine earlier 🙂

  • BJ says:

Do you get confirmation of survey compmetion or draw entry? I went through it on day of launch but after entering email it went back to start of survey so I yhink something went wrong.

    • Rob says:

No email sent. There is a thank you message on the last page.

      • BJ says:

Thanks, it might have done that before jumping back to start so I’ll just leave it to chance it was fine, not much difference between a small chance and no chance anyway 🙂
