The Trainline is running a generous deal in association with Railcard.

Until 28th February, you can save a third on the purchase of any Railcard.

The only catch is that the offer only applies to Digital Railcards, and you need to make the purchase via The Trainline app. This is not hugely onerous, however.

Veterans and Disabled Persons Railcards are excluded due to issues over checking your credentials.

We ran an article earlier in the week about new concert tickets being offered for the VIP Marriott Bonvoy Suite at the O2 in London.

A few additional events have just been added. The current list, as of last night, is:

  • The Lumineers – 4th March – 75,000 points for two tickets

    It’s important to be aware that you only need to hold the railcard at the time of travel and can book tickets at the discounted rate in advance and then purchase the card immediately before the travel date. No great advantage in redeeming this offer if you don’t have any up and coming travel plans.

        Not necessarily, they just need to trust that you will buy one by the time of travel (possible strictly against the rules though?)

    “Point expiration suspension:
    The expiration of points is extended until June 30, 2022, for all members who had points expiring before this date.”

      I wish Avios could be converted to Tesco points (or Nectar partners with the RDG to offer railcards), it would be very good value even at the Nectar rate to get 2.4p per Avios.

      I was wondering if you can use this offer and still offset with the Tesco’s x3 value vouchers. I think the codes only work directly on the Railcard website, however.

    No discount on the Senior railpass.

    You can buy from Railcard.co.uk and have BOTH a paper AND Digital card! Great for not having to suck up the juice or space on your phone.

    Can anyone get this to save in the trail line app?

    I can open the railcard in the trainline app from the email confirmation link, but it’s not accessible in the app.

    Have to always follow the link from the original email.

    Terrible experience.
