Get free afternoon tea at Marriott County Hall if you are called Elizabeth

London Marriott County Hall (which we have previously reviewed here) is running an innovative offer to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Anyone called Elizabeth can enjoy a free afternoon tea at The Library in the month of June.

The Library Marriott London County Hall

The Library is a lovely historic room at Marriott County Hall, the headquarters of the former London County Council on the South Bank overlooking the Thames and the Houses of Parliament as you can see below.

There are a few rules:

  • The offer is only available to people whose legal name is ‘Elizabeth’ – not Liz, not Eliza, not Beth. You need to provide proof of name via a passport, driving licence etc.
  • You can’t have free afternoon tea on a Saturday
  • You need to book for two people, but only Elizabeth will get a free afternoon tea (ie. it is effectively 2-for-1)

Make sure you pre-book on The Library website here.

  • Andy Lord says:

I let my mum (an official Elizabeth) know about the afternoon tea offer at the Marriott. She called and they knew nothing about it! Apologies if I’ve missed an update on this, but is there a specific booking link to use?

    • Rob says:

Annoyingly not. All we have is what Marriott sent us, which is effectively what we published. The only link we were given was to the Library’s home page as published.

      Full T&C from Marriott:
      * offer can be redeemed from 1 June 2022 and 30 November 2022 – Saturdays excluded
      * to be booked in advance – according to availability – by 30 June 2022
      * valid for a table of a minimum of 2 people and for the booking of a traditional afternoon tea
      * valid for only one person per booking.
      * Provide proof of name in the form of a passport or driving license.
      * No variable in the spelling of the name will be accepted – only “Elizabeth”

      • Andy Lord says:

Thanks for this, Marriott appear to have briefed the press before briefing their own staff!

        • CC says:

When you go to book the Afternoon Tea, the ‘Elizabeth Afternoon Tea’ offer is an option to select.

        • CC says:

Not sure about any bookings all the way to November though, couldn’t see any availability after June.
