New British Airways Grenada flights wide open for Avios in Winter 2022 and Spring 2023

This is our third ‘Avios availability notice’ today, following some shuffling of the British Airways timetables.

As we covered in another article, flights to Turks & Caicos will now operate as a tag to the Heathrow to Nassau service. This replaces the previous tag to the Gatwick to Antigua service. These flights are fully open for Avios.

We now know what is replacing Turks & Caicos as an Antigua tag on the Sunday – Grenada.

Grenada Avios flights

From the start of the Winter timetable at the end of October, there will be one weekly flight to Grenada, on a Sunday. Your aircraft will stop in Antigua on the way.

Even though the route is a tag to the Antigua flight, British Airways has opened up full Avios availability all the way through (London Gatwick to Antigua to Grenada).

The outbound flight leaves Gatwick at 09.30, landing in Grenada at 16.35. The return leaves at 18.05, landing in Gatwick at 08.25.

As this is a Gatwick service, you will be getting the old-style Club World seat.

Here is the availability for two Club World seats as at 7.45pm on Thursday, via seatspy.com. Obviously seats are available in World Traveller Plus and Economy too.

Outbound flights are on the left, inbound on the right.

Club World is 150,000 Avios per person peak and 125,000 Avios per person, return, off peak. Taxes are around £660 in Business.

I’m just hoping that with all these new additions to the destination list, that BA will re-launch their Costa Rica flights too…..

    • Rob says:

Er …. they have. Back in the timetable from Gatwick for Winter.

      • Chas says:

Ah – I’m looking for summer flights, and the route is still not showing then. Were meant to have gone summer 2020, and hoping we can re-book for next summer.

Still my favourite Caribbean island. Calabash for the win because of the food

  • Mirp says:

Thank you. Booked for Christmas. Never been to Grenada so will research a bit.

    • masaccio says:

Calabash if you can afford it. Mount Cinnamon if not

      • Mirp says:

Thanks for the information. Will look at both. Have a feeling Calabash will be to expensive.

  • Alan says:

    Yet another Gatwick destination 😭😭😭

  • Peter says:

Why do we hardly ever see the actual costs? It’s one of the rare articles that shows taxes – so here with £660 and 125k off peak Avios (0.8p per Av), total is £1660. It’s ok price for business flight, but for people that chase free 200 Avios worth £1.60 a bit over the top – better to spend on few tins of chopped tomatoes at Sains 🙂

    • Peter says:

for comparison 20 – 27 Nov costs £800 in Economy or £5000 in business 🙂
