Turks & Caicos wide open for Avios in Spring 2023 as new British Airways flights launched

If you fancy a Caribbean trip early next year, a rare opportunity has come up to snag Avios seats to the Turks & Caicos Islands.

This route used to operate from London Gatwick via Antigua, as a tag to that route.

This is changing. For Winter 2022, the route will move to Heathrow and be tagged onto the Bahamas route.

Turks & Caicos wide open for Avios flights

Even though the route is a tag to the Bahamas flights, British Airways has opened up full Avios availability all the way through (London to Nassau to Providenciales).

Even better, this is a Club Suite Boeing 777 route.

There are two flights per week, on Thursday and Sunday. The outbound leaves Heathrow at 08.55, landing in Turks & Caicos at 16.30. The return leaves at 18.55, landing in Heathrow at 11.10.

Here is the availability for two Club World seats as at 3.45pm on Thursday, via seatspy.com. Obviously seats are available in World Traveller Plus and Economy too.

Outbound flights are on the left, inbound on the right.

Club World is 150,000 Avios per person peak and 125,000 Avios per person, return, off peak. Taxes are around £750 in Business.

  • FatherOfFour says:

Grenada replaces the PLS tag from Antigua on Sundays. Avios availability added.

  • Andrew says:

Thanks for this… thats February’s trip to the sun sorted!

  • Anna says:

I think the “extra” availability might have been a glitch. There are 4 CW seats available on these flights, whatever your destination, so they can be taken by pax travelling to NAS, or PLS, or a combination. It’s not 4 for NAS and 4 more for PLS/GCM.

    • Rob says:

The Nassau flight isn’t ‘new’ though, so those seats should have gone already.

      • Anna says:

Maybe anomaly rather than glitch. I’m surprised BA is releasing extra avios seats on such a lucrative route (just priced up CS to PLS next March and it’s nearly £6k on the app!!)

  • CapeCam says:

Is it still free to cancel an online booking within 24 hours of booking without the £35 penalty – I am BA Gold

  • NigelT says:

I wouldn’t hold your breath on this. Only hours before this posted BA pulled their usual stunt of cancelling our flights both to and from Antigua on 8th and 22nd November respectively with no alternative suggestion etc. The usual – it’s cancelled so get on with it. And they then announce this new route via ANU?

  • Roger S says:

Tried grabbing first class out on the 1/12 and club back on 11/12 showing available on Seatspy but nothing on BA when trying to book!!

  • Redhroogar says:

Are BA trying to stop Seatspy access 🤔
Once when I linked from the availability chart to book on BA I had to jump through Captcha hoops to prove that I wasn’t a robot (which of guess Seatspy is🤔).
