EXCLUSIVE: you can book 20 new British Airways Gatwick Summer 2023 routes from today

Back in August we brought you the first part of the British Airways Summer 2023 schedule from Gatwick Airport. This is the first full Summer to be operated by the new BA Euroflyer operation.

The remaining 20 routes for the Summer 2023 schedule will become bookable during today, Tuesday. They may be there by the time you read this, but if not you should check back later in the day.

Avios availability will be wide open and you should have no trouble getting the seats you want.

As a reminder, the Summer timetable starts in late March 2023 and will continue until the end of October. As Easter is late in 2023 (Good Friday is 7th April) the ‘drop’ today will include flights covering the long holiday weekend.

All flights will operate from the South Terminal at London Gatwick.

The additional 20 routes released today means that, we are told, the Summer 2023 Gatwick short-haul schedule is effectively complete. There is potential for another couple of routes to be added but no decision has yet been taken.

Which new routes is British Airways launching from Gatwick?

Here are the ten routes which were put on sale at the end of August 2022:

• Heraklion
• Kos
• Lanzarote
• Malta
• Paphos
• Tenerife
• Thessaloniki

Here are the routes which will be added to ba.com during Tuesday:

• Alicante
• Amsterdam
• Antalya
• Bari
• Bordeaux
• Cagliari
• Dubrovnik
• Gran Canaria
• Ibiza
• Malaga
• Marrakech
• Menorca
• Nice
• Palma de Mallorca
• Rhodes
• Santorini
• Seville
• Turin
• Venice
• Verona

These routes will all be operated by BA Euroflyer, the new British Airways low cost subsidiary. However, the ‘low cost’ element only applies to the cost base. In-flight service and benefits, including lounge access, are identical to what mainline BA flights offer, albeit Gatwick flights use a different caterer to Heathrow.

What can I book?

You will be able to book to mid October 2023 due to BA opening up seats at 355 days prior to departure, so virtually the entire Summer 2023 timetable will be available today.

Only a handful of dates in late October 2023 will be unavailable. If you are looking to book for October half-term in 2023 then you will need to wait a few days for those flights to open up.
