Your 250 Avios from Uber should have posted – unless BA / Uber unlinked you

Looking at reports, people who signed up to the new British Airways / Uber partnership last Autumn should have received their 250 bonus Avios yesterday.
Unless, that is, BA and Uber chose to unlink your accounts, which appears to be what happened to me.
When I saw reports of the 250 Avios posting I went to check my Executive Club account but there was nothing.
I then remembered that I had heard reports from readers that their Uber and Executive Club accounts had mysteriously unlinked.
I went over to the Uber app and, indeed, my accounts were no longer connected:
I went back to my Executive Club statement and saw that the last Uber ride which earned me Avios was on 29th December:
The unlinking occured at some point between 30th December and 2nd January, because I took a trip from Heathrow on 3rd January which earned nothing:
Before anyone suggests it as a reason, I hadn’t used Uber abroad between those two dates. My trip had been to Scotland.
I’m not sure what I should do now. I can’t be bothered to raise a formal complaint for the sake of 250 Avios, and it’s not clear who is responsible for the unlinking anyway – British Airways or Uber? It is also still possible that the bonuses are being batched and I will still get mine in a few days.
It’s worth noting that there was no requirement, as far as I remember, to keep your accounts linked until the closing date of 31st December 2022.
If you haven’t had the 250 Avios bonus, it is worth checking if your Uber and Avios accounts are still linked. In fact, even if you did get the bonus, check anyway.
