My inclination would be to leave well alone. There’s nothing to suggest that the upgrade route is or is intended to be a back door to bypass the minimum income requirement. The fact the upgrade was accepted or “fully approved” doesn’t really mean much.
We have seen a few cases recently where people are approved, essentially because they pass initial identity and address checks etc. but later get asked for more information about their circumstances or income. There is more than one layer of checking.
