@BBbeter. Yes I understand the oxymoron. It’s a question of finding the balance between time and price. I’m recommending that they get it all on one ticket to avoid missed flights due to delays so that rules Singapore out .

Looks like Vietnam airways is the best one way option from LHR, £1058 in premium economy and 17 hrs 25. This compares to Qatar from BHX £752 in economy and 21 hours 50 mins.
I am so wedded to Oneworld that it makes my eyes bleed to look at other airlines😬 but on this occasion it’s the way to go.
