I think I would appreciate a nice non-food gift over some manky old fruit, or even a bottle of wine if timings man I can’t enjoy it.

A tablecloth or a mug sounds fine to me. I guess it depends on your mood (and travel plans) at the time.

Best: bottle of port in a gift box at Hilton Curio Porto, Stroopwaffels in a nice giftable tin in Andaz Amsterdam.

Worst: small bag of sweets in Hyatt ZRH (to go with some very underwhelming Privé benefits)
