They used to do it but never reinstated the service when Trump’s ban on U.K. visitors was rescinded.

Be interesting to see if he reinstates the ban.

The White House visitor centre is very interesting, however, with lots of historical information and a nice gift shop.

As per @Colin, the free tour of the Capitol is excellent, but you need to pre-book.

Your American relatives should also be able to get you passes to the House or Senate visitor gallery, from their Representative or Senator; this is also a good experience.
