Looking for a 5 night parking at Gatwick in February. I have read Rob’s article on airport parking near Gatwick. Not keen on the shuttle ones as it would be cold and we have flights at really odd hours. Price for some Meet and Greet ones is very reasonable but I am also reading a range of perfect reviews to horror stories. Any experience with really good ones? I know Purple Parking is well-known, but they are almost double some such as Sure Meet and Greet and AMAG Meet and Greet. Any tips or advise?

We have used Purple Parking at Gatwick quite a few times, I agree they are expensive, compared to some others, think we have just got into the habit of booking with them.

Not aware or our car being used as a mini-cab whilst we have been on our hols, i.e. no extra mileage showing, however I guess there could be a way round that for a savvy driver.

Purple parking are 100% a proper business, and agree that type of thing does not happen, fortunately, saying that, my wife’s car was written off 4 years ago, as an employee drove it down the helix ramp for collection at Bath Road LHR, not the best welcome news after a delayed flight, the employee has been working with the company for 20 years without incident apparently, these types of incidents are few and far between fortunately.

The manager Steve, dealt with this professionally, paid for our transport home, and gave us free parking on our next trip, and my wife gained a brand new Jeep, it’s just that they seem to have increased their prices quite steeply.
