Good afternoon from Trump International Hotel Las Vegas; the final stop of our West coast/Hawaiian adventure. Thankfully missed the man himself yesterday; must have been chaos and mayhem here.
Off to the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace tomorrow – a snip at $84.99 plus taxes each (soft drinks incl). The cost of eating out in the US came as a bit of a shock but we’re getting blasé about it now. The buffet seems good value when a simple breakfast for 2 in the hotel comes to $100 with tip. No boutique independent cafes round here to sit and people watch…
Currently in the Quantas First Lounge (food & service v good) at LAX having just arrived in from Las Vegas to see the Killers at Ceasers last night. Had no idea Trump was in town.
2 x Margaritas in the Coliseum was $90 including tip. I knew this trip was going to be expensive but even an average diner breakfast in LA was $80 for two.
