Not weird at all on HFP, @strickers 😂. I already have an outbound booking for mid-Jan.
So using the Barclays voucher you will pay the points for the cabin below the one you want to fly in, so for BLR, PE is 47,500 avios, one way, off peak.
You have to take the highest avios, lowest cash option with this voucher. A dummy booking will show you the taxes for J, if that’s what you want to upgrade to.
(TFCs are the same rate, whether you use the Barclays or 241.)
Make sure you avoid the school holidays if possible as there’s a big jump with PE pricing – it goes up to 67k avios on peak dates.
