A nominated person on someone else’s BA account can carry out some transactions, but I don’t know if it extends to making new bookings which require payment. One thing I have done is call BA as an nominated person to add a domestic leg to a Barclays upgrade booking, which was made with my OH’s voucher from his account. So you can do some things.
Might be an idea to call in advance and ask for clarification, although your experience will ultimately depend on which agent answers the phone when you call at midnight!
