Forums › Payment cards › Virgin Atlantic › 1.5% fee now being applied by Curve?
-
Hubby was having trouble with AMEX on Google Pay but fine with the physical card. Then he tried to pay his balance using his Curve & it just wasn’t working, so he tried removing it & adding it back on as a payment card – wouldn’t allow it to be added on.
Virgin Atlantic card was his underlying card.
So I tried a £40 payment off my AMEX card using my Curve metal with Virgin Atlantic card underlying – $30 has been credited to my AMEX but £40.60 has been charged to my card.
Have you gone over £10k in fronted trx? Double check
Have put through a couple of dummy transactions to check.
Both currently pending on my Virgin app, without the 1.5% fee.
Hoping it stays like that, as I was hoping to pay £10k tax bill on Tuesday with Virgin card.
I’d find very surprising that VA added such a fee like that.
If they add a fee, it would be a cash advance fee, which is supposed to be £5 or 5%, whichever is highest. 1.5% looks like the Curve Fronted fee, so likely it’s just that.
