Hey all, any advice on the above plz for 2.
Similar to dominican would be lovely, am thinking for jamiaca but not sure if that time is good to go, not really looking for excursions or a lot of activities either to be honest
Budget wise maybe max £3k all in if that is possible
Thanks
There’s never really a bad time for the Caribbean. Some periods have more rain than others, but it soon burns away.
The Iberostar in Agadir is worth considering if you want something closer to home without the time zone changes. Malta or Cyprus in October are pretty safe bets, by November can be not quite so warm.
BA has decent KIN redemption availability in WTP in October/November but very patchy in CW. The Couples resorts in Jamaica are very good; much better than Sandals, especially for food. A quick search says it might be as little as $325 per room per night which I think is exceptional value.
Thank guys hoping to either do maldives or somewhere in carribean
Any that my budget will.judt not allow for??I think you’d struggle to get the Maldives on your budget – how long are you looking at going for? Prices have gone insane over the past few years.
At that time of year I wouldn’t risk the weather in the Caribbean. For guaranteed warm and dry weather I’d look at Canaries if you’ve only got a week – 4 hour flight and no jet leg are a big bonus. There are some very high-end resorts these days and Lanzarote especially has great beaches and snorkelling.
Week to 10 days max really
It’ll.be all inclusive with no activities so don’t want to get bored which dies happen after 7 days lolU mean like gran Canaria, etc..
Have look on Luxury Escapes. They have sales on Maldives resorts and usual range is £1.5k – 3k for half board (you can pay extra for AI). If you have Amex with an offer and as a new customer you can get £100 or so off.
RC Doha Club (unless you have kids as they are not allowed into the club lounge) or RC Dubai Club. Food generally is very good and alcohol served (in club lounge) from 12 noon

Any that my budget will.judt not allow for??And getting there without paying an arm and a leg is hard. India is a decent route if you don’t mind transit faff. See here:
For your budget, you’d need to ‘slum it’ in a 4 star. D2 has 7 days at the excellent Filetheyo in a water villa AI for £2588 from LHR in Etihad economy. I expect you could do hotel-only, spend some rewards on flights and still come in at £3k.
Food at Filetheyo is Indian/Maldivian curries that we found superb. The water villa was excellent, the house reef superb and the dive shop the best I’ve known in the Maldives.
Tweaking the search, I got Filetheyo hotel-only at £3k for 10 nights including seaplane transfers.
I’ve booked twice through ‘nadine’ at D2’s domain who was very helpful.
If on a budget, I’d be inclined to only do a water villa for the final night or 2. That’s enough to experience the novelty.
Total budget is £3k for 2 people so I can’t see anything in Maldives for that this far out. If there are no children involved, avoid the half term weeks (late-ish Oct to early November) and prices will be significantly lower.
Mexico might be an option if OP isn’t too bothered about leaving the resorts and wants something similar to the DR. Lots of competing resorts keeps prices relatively reasonable. Although Unfortunately reports suggest that even in AI places, American tipping culture is rife!
Blue Bay Travel have Rahaa Resort in the Maldives for 7 nights on the 8th October for £3,097 total for 2 people. Just over your budget though.

Less beach and more pool though with the sargassum?
The more expensive reports clear away the sargassum as they know they’re more likely to get people staying there if the beach is nice and pristine. I hear they even mention it in their advertising! Obviously not much you can do about what’s in the sea, but not everyone like sea swimming anyway.
That Blue Bay Travel deal isn’t bad if you’re happy to fly in economy for 12 hours. Says flights are with Gulf Air. No idea how long the transfer is.
Take a look at booking.com and search a week flexibly October/November. There are a bunch of Cinnamon properties AI for £1800. I’ve stayed at Cinnamon Dhonveli in a beach villa and it was good with a nice lagoon. Not top end Maldives, but a very good buffet. Transfers were speedboat which keeps down the price.
I think £3k is plenty for AI Maldives for a week if you don’t want stuff like a pool water villa or business class flights. 10 days for that would be a push unless you want to do a local island, in which case it would be easy peasy.
The other options to consider are Mauritius and Seychelles.
I find Mexican and Caribbean resorts poor value as the Americans bid up the cost – and that’s before their tipping. Also for the Maldives, dates 8th of October returning the 16th. Booking separately, you can get flights in economy with Etihad for £1,047 and book (via Booking.com) the Ellaidhoo Cinnamon as an all inclusive for £1,761. That would be under the budget.
There are also all inclusive package deals to the likes of Antigua I’m seeing for under £2,500 in October too.
If your looking for an AI property, Have a look at Hyatt Ziva (family) and Zilara (adults only) Hyatt have regular sales for these! plenty around the Caribbean, also look at other options like Secrets, Dreams, Breathless Resorts & Spas, Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts, Alua Hotels & Resorts and Sunscape Resorts & Spas.
These are all under the Hyatt umbrella now, since their purchase of the apple leisure group.
I have stayed at the majority of them around the Caribbean and Mexico.
I especially rate Secrets cap Cana resort and spa, visited twice now, the beach is fantastic, sargassum is cleared every early morning,
Just be aware of the hurricane season, I was caught up in Hurricane Fiona, and had to be evacuated from Secrets cap Cana resort and spa, fortunately there’s a minimal chance of that happening to you, so don’t let that put you off.
Hey all, any advice on the above plz for 2.

Thanks
I’ve been looking at something similar, can’t recommend it as such as haven’t been, but I am getting a week in Thailand at the same time of year for approx. 3K. Not checked on BA holidays though if that is your preference, and no chance of reward flights. I was pricing up on TUI. Also haven’t checked the weather there yet for that time of year.

Other Asia destinations showing.Hi Gordon
I’m looking on the main BAC flight page logged in to my own account (no voucher), I’m checking reward flight availability and I can’t see any flights in Q4, to Thailand am I looking in the wrong place, or searching incorrectly maybe ?
@Misty – log into Qatar airways site, as long as your BAEC and Qatar accounts are linked, and you have enough Avios you will be able to search Avios flights, they are available, you will have to juggle around with dates to find them, just a $24 cancellation fee!

Thank you so much. I think where I was going wrong was in not having a Qatar account! There is a little box on the BAC book flight with Avios page that says search other airlines.
Apologies to OP for hijacking the thread.
