Amex Plat worth? without the sign up bonus

I’ve just hit the sign-up bonus, and I was wondering if I was to cancel the card now would it be an issue if I had to claim a refund on something in the future that I purchased using the card?

Yes, the sum would be refunded to the card. You would then need to contact Amex who will then either bank transfer it or send you a cheque. I’ve had this happen on numerous occassions over the years.
