Depends where you’re going to and what OW airlines fly there!

How can you expect anyone to answer that without even the basics??

100% agree with BA A380 upper deck. We rarely do economy – but we did do Miami last year. 4 of us. Took 82/83 A/B and it was perfectly adequate. Good storage. In a small cabin at the back. It’s the same space that EK have for the rear J section – rear upper deck cabin and where the bar goes. So it’s a nice small section of economy with BA. The basic service as expected, but that comes with a little more peace & quiet. Your fellow passengers is obviously pot luck. I Will probably sleep better there than when we go F with BA on A380 for this years summer holidays – as you want to enjoy the service, food and drink etc 🙂

I think that’s the question the OP is asking – what metal would you recommend and to where (using BA Silver equivalent)??

Because the answer can be: “if BA then 777 seat XYZ, if QR then the 787 seat ABC”.

And by default I would expect the OP to fly west back to the UK.

Totally agree with those seats for VFM! Did those exact Miami
ones and will repeat with Boston this year.

Best metal out of Dubai – Gulfstream G800??

Personally I prefer the term “tin” to metal (as in the great film “Pushing Tin” – John Cusack/Billy Bob Thornton). If you’ve even been to the Science Museum in London, they have a “slice” of a 747 and you can see how thin the metal is – hence “tin”.

Though probably better described now as a Pringles can – as in so little room you can’t even get your hand in!

Assume heading back to the UK For UK 261 protection BA operated flight. Departing UK via Dubai to somewhere else then BA code share – not so bothered which airline operates flight as long as on one PNR to destination. But BA operating initial sector is probably preferable.

If none of that matters then the best schedule and the most comfortable seats on any airline. Heading to Dubai from UK any airline would be liable for UK261 but Dubai to UK would not be in scope for UK261 if not BA.
