Book Qantas flight through British Airways

I have some Avios I want to use booking a domestic flight in Australia later in the year. Booking Sydney to Brisbane is straight forward, but also looking at Sydney to MCY (Sunshine Coast airport) which is also operated by Qantas. But MCY airport isn’t recognised by BA.

Could this be addressed by calling up or is it a non starter?

It is recognised – just not as a drop down. Just put in MCY and carry on as normal.
