    “What’s changing?
From 4th June, the conversion to Avios for Free tier customers will change from 10:10 to 10:8 (10 reward points will convert to 8 Avios).”

There has been the carrot; guess that’s the stick to upgrade to the £300 card.

I’ve had this card just over a year now and chose not to go the paid tier so waiting until June until I can convert the points I have built up over the past month. I thought it was too good to be true that I’d be able to convert as I had been, so not too surprising to see this. The conversion rate could be worse….

For those of us with the old free card the 10:8 conversion ratio seems fine to me

The alternative is one of the Amex cards and while the fee may be deductable for tax you’ve still got to put a fair amount through it to get the benefits

That’s my problem with CoT. We do put a lot of spend through our business cards. So Capital on Tap no longer looks good value for money. I appreciate it may work for others with different circumstances.

I still think CoT need to try harder and do better to make themselves look attractive and compete better with AMEX though. .
