Hello from a freezing cold AA A319 on the way from USVI to JFK.

I didn’t think the VI was expensive until I got to the airport and had to pay £4.65 for a bottle of water airside.

Looking forward to a very hot 6 days in and mostly taking trips from NYC. 9 years since I was in Manhattan so will be interesting to see the changes

I purchased a club sandwich from the farmers market at LAX a few years ago, upon opening on the flight to LAS shortly afterwards, I found it to be soggy,

I emailed the manager and swiftly received a refund back to my card, I normally would not have bothered, and just disposed of it, but paying 16 dollars for a club sandwich, I’d expect it to be edible!

It was about then that I decided to start traveling east!

Why is the BA website useless?

I’m trying to book flights to London for the marathon next year (was successful in the ballot), website just doesn’t appear to be doing anything when I submit payment.

Flew from FAO to LHR today. Both airports were blissfully freezing cold especially the tunnel from T5B to T5. Only drawback today was not getting access to the BA lounge at FAO. It’s actually the Non Schengen lounge for everyone but was told it was full. Probably not helped by there being a United Airlines flight departing to Newark as well. BA will need to have a better lounge access plan in place.

It’s been pretty well perfect so far. That and the dragon of a TSA agent this morning have been the only blip.

Not looking forward to an 80 min shuttle ride from JFK into the centre but it’s rush hour, so it is what it is

Only 2O mins and 20 USD more than the subway and more comfortable and safer

Second that, completely agree. It was lovely to have managed to meet some of you. It was a lovely location, great company and so good to finally meet the HfP team, thanks for all the work involved in arranging a great evening. I hope it can be done again sooner (hopefully next year or Christmas) rather than later.

Thanks for letting me know!

We’re in DEL about to board our SQ flight to SIN. Our Lombok flight is still scheduled and have just checked in online.

Btw I recommend avoiding transit through DEL if possible. Had to remove from our bags not just electronics and liquids but also every single power bank and usb cable. They also flagged a wallet with an integrated AirTag…

@Optimus Prime – No problem, I’d be interested to know your thoughts on your Indonesia trip, at some stage, time prevailing, I’m scheduled to return there for a few months next year.
