Good Morning from mum’s house in Lockerbie.
Stealable hangers. Gas stove top kettle, no Nespresso. 3-ply scented loo roll. Full size shower gel. Heating controls under lock & key. TV on maximum volume. To-Do list waiting for me.
I guess there was some kind of financial costs for the airline. They both should have been fined and banned from BA.
I would have been p****d if I was delayed because of this unacceptable behaviour.Only one article published so far – at what time are the (presumably embargoed Amex Plat) articles being published?
I guess judging by the lack of articles, there will be 2 articles later this morning.
I presume they are regarding the Platinum card. I look forward to reading them tonight.
There was an extra article yesterday, so I’d expect one more at some point today.
A very gold morning to you all 🥇 😜

Congratulations. Hope you get to use the benefits.
I’m happy as I got an email overnight from BA confirming I’ve earned my Amex companion voucher. One day before the spend threshold goes up. 😀 Wish they’d bring back thr TP for spending thing because otherwise the card’s going in the drawer until next April unless there are some great cashback deals.

How many Avios did that cost? 🤣🤣🤣
New Amex dining and HN benefits announced. See Amex forum
A very gold morning to you all 🥇 😜
Congratulations! A very smart achievement.
Rob – do you think the increase in the carried interest rate will have a material impact on the UK, or given its a small increase in what is still a very lucrative industry, it won’t make a huge difference?
Ironically my next flight is an award booking on Aer Lingus MAN-DUB and being gold apparently gets me no benefits whatsoever!
I was going to say you get lounge access (but no guest) if booked via BA, then remembered it’s BA lounges only, so yes in MAN you’re out of options!
Hmmm, in the middle of the night the BA shopping thieves, came out and nicked over 800 Avios from me from three purchases.
Thanks to all the advice on this site, I’ve finally made use of my companion voucher. Booked on from MAD to GYE and back from LIM to MAD for next spring on Iberia business class. Hoping to get to the Galapagos and see the sights in Peru. Now to sort the travel from London to Madrid…
A very gold morning to you all 🥇 😜
Very well done!

Which were the toxic firms involved, and the original transaction dates?

That’s not good news. Those BA shopping “thieves” also visited me overnight but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they’ve awarded me more Avios by taking away 176 but giving me 316 back 😀. This was for a Toolstation purchase which I think was over 8 months ago!

Sorry to hear that, but they have been busy delivering points overnight as well as above and to me as well. The Budget thieves are a greater concern though.
I was surprised to be honest not to see many references to the Budget yet 🙂
The budget thieves are definitely a concern. My major worry is the fact that DC pensions will now be subject to IHT. Inheritance planning just got more complicated.
I also worry where the fabled economic growth will come from now that Employers NI is going up at the same time as being payable on more of people’s salaries. Every employee will now cost an additional £615 before accounting for the increase of Er’s NI to 15%. That plus going after people operating via umbrella companies is hardly going to help.
Costs of goods will just go up. Not sure what effect that will have on the inflation rate.
I really don’t see how the UK will have the highest sustained growth rate of the G7 by the end of this parliament.
