Cheapest route to a few MRs for Etihad

I’m a few thousand MRs short of an Etihad redemption for LHR-AUH-MLE (3k – 25k depending on the flight). I realise I can just buy the miles and that I just missed a promo but is there something else I am missing?

We are not eligible for new SUBs, though it has occurred to me I could try the cancellation trick to see how much I get.
