Travelling to Copenhagen this week for a short break.
I have read that there may be an additional levy imposed when using a Credit Card / Debit Card from a UK bank (i.e. Non EU bank). Reportedly can vary from 0.75 to 3%.
Does anyone have any recent experience of this? Any recommendations to eliminate or mitigate against this?
My options include: B’Card 0FX CC, Virgin CC, Starling DC, Revolut DC. Also have various Amex cards but will not be using those.
Thanks in advance. There won’t be any additional fees apart from what is charged by your UK financial institution, i.e. for the cards you’ve mentioned just a small spread in the visa/Mastercard exchange rates and no further fees. Just make sure you always pay in DKK.
