Date of tier point expiry

My year end for Tier Points is 8 October.
If I fly out LHR – MUN on 7th October and return on 8 October, will I get the tier points for each leg credited to this year? Or will they just expire my points on 8 October. I need to retain my Silver status.

Both legs on the 7th and the 8th will be counted into this year and you total will reset to zero on the 9th.
