Have gold through Amex platinum.
When booking Conrad, are upgrades better for booking direct or through Impressario?
Difference in rate (semi flex vs BFR), is close to USD100, same as hotel credit.
Some Conrad hotels are in Fine Hotels scheme too, so check that option as well.
Impressario is a guaranteed upgrade I believe?
Impressario & Amex fine hotels still have a 3 nights for price of 2 deal running I think.
Impressario IS booking direct, to the extent you get HH points (actually 2x) and, more importantly, the hotel isn’t forking over 22% to Hotels.com etc.
