Recently, I was issued $200 e-credit for a Delta service issue (pre-ordered meal wasn’t available, no WiFi, no IFE – far more than I was expecting, to be honest!). Two interesting things from this:
(1) Firstly, they tried to issue me 16,000 SkyMiles but, as I don’t have a Skymiles account that I accrue in (I keep it for free WiFi), they converted to e-credit so we now have a conversion rate.
(2) “Vouchers may be used for travel on Delta, Air France, KLM, Virgin Atlantic, or other designated Delta Codeshare flights. In order to apply a voucher to a partner airline reservation, please contact our Reservations team.”
That last part is interesting.
