Has anyone got experience of the “publishing” of the dates? I can’t see any in November, but is that because they’re gone or not released yet?

    Thanks

The initial, guaranteed, allocations are released 355 days before departure.

If none are showing it means they have all been booked.

They are released 355 days in advance, so November has been released for a while now.

Just as a thought, Abu Dhabi is about an hour away in a taxi and in my experience, despite only one flight a day has great reward availability…

    Hope that helps.

Have you looked at QR? DOH-DXB is bookable with avios and less than an hour. A bit of a faff but possibly an option if your travel dates are fixed and you want to use avios.

What Avios price have you seen for this? Might tempt me in winter when BA tend to use the A380 on my favoured flight times.

Actually not a faff at all NL if you live in Norn Iron!
I do it 2 or 3 times a year, DUB – DOH – DXB, fly biz and they put you in First on the DOH-DXB leg which gets you the bonus of Al Safwa access!
Otherwise I’d have to transit through LHR anyway, so its a no brainer for me, plus a fraction of the cost in taxes 🙂
QR use a 787-8 on the route, it’s 6 rows of 4 across up front in Biz – no First but lots of personal space.
To compare, I had a BA 241 to use a few years ago and went BA via LHR – NEVER AGAIN, night and day service wise, ying yang seating for what seemed about 200 biz passengers upstairs on the 380, and actually cost me more!
