What codename are we using for this?
I’ve definitely got my priorities in order 😉
Northampton = N’umpton = Trumpton = Camberwick.
No one will ever be able to decode that. 🥷
(Unless of course they read this post…)
Barclays shortened is probably Bay which can only mean one thing… Bay Watch
Although let’s not get this one shut completely 🤣

Barclaycard Avios Mastercard => BAM => BAM BAM => Fred Flintstone’s baby.
It’s pretty obvious Curve will work with card issuers to root out customers that cost both parties money, is all this stuff worth it?
Yes, of course it is worth it.
There is also no evidence that Curve has worked with any cards issuers to stop anything, where did you get that idea from?Yes, of course it is worth it.
There is also no evidence that Curve has worked with any cards issuers to stop anything, where did you get that idea from?No evidence apart from the FoI releases that showed they were rushing to Drummond Gate with reams of data on their customers to handover to NS&I.
Charles Martel, you really must meet JDB. I predict a kinship.
NS&I is not a credit card provider.
An email from an anonymous @curve.com:
“Yes, Interesting looking at the traffic particularly on the points sites. I met with Creation Credit cards yesterday, good meeting and I am sharing data with them too.”

Absolutely not, I will be submitting a complaint to the FOS. I was merely highlighting the risk or using Curve for these schemes, I personally don’t want another card I value being cancelled.
If they want to avoid a Creation situation all they need do is cap points to the credit limit. It, along with other things will certainly have already been discussed & considered in great detail, they had an expert in the room with them after all.
You can be damn sure they asked him what behaviours / tricks they need to be aware of. I certainly would have done.

Anecdotally, there seems to be a lot of dodgy Commercial Curve plastic in circulation. I expect they would be making money on the margin with interchange arbitrage in these cases.
