Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Full breakfast in BA T5 business lounge

  • 6 posts

Well BA I am stock and very pleasantly surprised!

We flew BIA out of Heathrow T5 yesterday and went into the business lounge. I think it was a North lounge and instead of a bacon or sausage roll waiting for us, there was a full cooked breakfast which I was very glad of as I didn’t get a cooked breakfast on the plane had run out and I just got an omelette

Does anybody know if this is a complete change the BA has not notified everyone about or do you think I just run out of bread rolls so they had to do a full English instead.

I know this might sound daft to everybody, but it should actually be a step in the right direction for the lounges. If this is a new policy?

Did anybody else fly BA yesterday from Gatwick or Heathrow and did you get the same experience?

When you say full cooked breakfast, if you mean bacon, hash browns, beans, mushrooms & scrambled eggs then yes, that’s the normal offering currently at BA’s T5 lounges. Not come across any bangers recently.

It’s been a buffet breakfast for a couple or years now, self-serve bacon rolls were taken away during the covid order at your table time and the hotel style breakfast buffet was what returned.

Hi all, it’s a yes for the bangers and they were full sized, no chipolatas so a better breakfast than the no plane.

I have to agree the breakfast offering is very good now, I just wish they would improve the lunch/afternoon/evening offering which would make it fab!

Anyone know if they do gluten free bread/ toast?

Hi – they do Gluten free rolls – you need to go up to the kitchen and speak to one of the staff. The rolls have to be defrosted and usually come out in 3-5 mins. The small hash browns, when we were there 10 days ago are also gluten free, but check with the staff as this can change probably day by day.
