Gold (from Amex Plat) to Platinum?

Hi All. I have Marriott gold status, courtesy of Amex Plat. I’ve had a good look online but cant seem to find the answer to my question…to get to MB Platinum would i have to do 50 nights this year? or just the extra 25 from the difference between gold & plat?

I’ve seen from videos and articles that you DO need to fulfil the 50 nights – you are awarded the status of gold through AMEX, but not given the nights.

But you could get 15 nights with the Marriott Amex and then do 18 nights during the current double nights offer
