Am I right in thinking the highest avios earning amex (not including the BAPP) is actually the Nectar Amex.
£1 spend in Nectar Partners = 3 nectar points = 1.875 avios
£1 spend everywhere else = 2 nectar points = 1.25 avios
Only the gold offers bonuses for certain amounts spent which can increase the 1 avios per £1 to 1.5
Is it because there’s additional risk nectar may remove avios as a partner or change the rate?
The card does have a small annual fee after the first year, which reduces the returns.
If you can get it, the BA rewarding business is unbeatable. Requires you to be, or run, a business.
Am I not right in thinking that the 3 Nectar Points per £ you get for shopping at Sainsbury’s includes the 1 Nectar Point you would get whichever card you used to pay. So it is actually 2 Nectar Points per £ for using the card.

If you’re spending £10001 pounds every month then Amex Business Plat is an effective 2 avios per £1 so is very strong. That does also assume that you think the other Platinum benefits are decent value vs the (tax deductible) fee and so don’t include the fee in the calculation.
