Hilton Debit Plus, Gold status benefit

Hi all,

I’m trying to figure out if its worth paying the £150 annual fee for gold status via hilton debit card plus.

I’m not likely to receive the 30000 points as I prefer to spend on Amex but does the gold status allow you to book discounted rooms via the app? We have a 8 night stay booked with Hilton for later in the year and if wondering if i pay the £150 will I receive that back in savings if I cancel and rebook if I upgrade to Gold on this and future Hilton breaks?
Can’t figure out if its worth it so any advice would be really appreciated

There’s no additional cash saving on top of the usual member rate, no.

The only saving is that you don’t need to book a room with breakfast, you can book ‘room only’ because (outside the US where its a cash credit) you’ll get free breakfast for two.
