Hi all. Booked a stay at Hilton Amsterdam next month.
Booked it on the prepaid non-refundable rate.
Silly question but is it normal for them not to charge the full amount upfront, even on this rate.
As the amount showing on my credit card bill is the full rate but minus the taxes.
I’ve never gone with prepaid rate previously so I’m a bit unclear.
Also, anyone stayed here previously – good hotel? I’m Diamond.
Yes, usually the case for Netherlands hotels, as if you don’t turn up they keep the money for the room but the taxes are not due.
Stayed before covid, was good but not outstanding is all I can remember
