Forums Hotel loyalty schemes IHG One Rewards InterContinental Club room breakfast – do I need to pay extra?

  • 3 posts

Looking to stay at the InterContinental Robertson Quay Singapore in a Club room – there are 2 rates – normal and one that includes breakfast which is about 50SGD more expensive. The Club offering includes breakfast in the lounge. Am I being stupid in asking whether we will be refused breakfast in the lounge if we pick the cheater rate that does not specify ‘Includes breakfast’.

Don’t know about this hotel specifically but some ICs do treat lounge and restaurant breakfast entitlements as equivalent

And some don’t and it causes problems if people just assume they can eat in the main restaurant instead of the club lounge

Well it caused me to wait 30 seconds longer to get into the restaurant on my last stay “sorry your rate only includes breakfast in the lounge on the 7th floor” “oh I see thanks”

On the same stay, waited 5 minutes while the breakfast dragon tried to convince someone that their OTA booking saying breakfast is *available* from 6.30 doesn’t mean that breakfast is *included*. Then they agreed to pay for the kids to eat and the parents would just have coffees, but of course everyone ate anyway

That family obviously hadn’t heard the expression ‘my word is my bond’ and as for teaching the children how to cheat….
