Headed to Leipzig this week and wondered if anyone had any hotel recommendations? No particular requirements, so open to all suggestions. Many thanks.

Sorry this is late, I only check the forum on Friday afternoons. Leipzig Radisson is just 5 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof, opposite the Opera House and Gewandhaus Concert Hall. A business-oriented hotel, with good facilities and a decent breakfast. It was a few years ago but we paid for breakfast everyday apart from the last morning, only to be presented with a bill for SIX breakfasts that morning when we hadn’t even had one. Stressful when heading back to the train.
    Other Leipzig tips:
Bayerischer Bahnhof, at a disused main-line station dating from 1842, just 10 minutes beyond the southern ring road, the Bayerischer Bahnhof now contains a large pub-diner. You need to make reservations as it is always popular. This is a good place for beer fans, as it serves its own Gose wheat beer, flavoured with coriander and salt.
The Hauptbahnhof is possibly the widest station in the world, owing to the fact that the 300 metre facade was built to separate out the Royal Saxon and the Prussian state railways, with an entrance for each.

No use at all as advice, given that I assume youre now in Leipzig.
I have not been there since 2012, but I stayed at the Seaside Hotel opposite the HBf. in both 2011 and 2012 and it was absolutely fine.
Business stays with large groups of tour operators, no one I spoke to had any problems or quibbles.
Only one slight weirdness – the lifts had mirrors on all 4 walls, as well as the floor and the ceiling…
I have also stayed at the Marriott – but that was even longer ago.

Now back in fact. Thanks for the suggestions. Went with the Marriott which was perfectly serviceable if unremarkable. Good breakfast mind you….
