There was a handy article on this last year, does anyone have any updates on which routes have lie flat business seats currently within Europe/UK? I can’t find any…
From the UK I think you’re just looking at Helsink on Finnair and Madrid on Iberia.
There are various other options (Singapore, LATAM have some for a start) but I’ve not seen a dedicated list since before covid.
Aer Lingus LHR-DUB, and staying with Aer Lingus DUB-AGP and DUB-TFS. Not all flights on all days.
Thanks both! I wasn’t sure if Aer Lingus went ahead with their 2019 plans for lie flat within Europe. I’ve not heard of anyone who managed to get on one. Can’t find anything to AGP or TFS for my dates unfortunately… I think Helsinki from London is a good bet alright, Madrid is a bit too short to enjoy!
Latam not anymore.
Mods, am I allowed to link to another forum? There’s a pretty comprehensive table here (link is to a German frequent flyer forum):
You can see Finnair (Oneworld) has a couple of routes (including HEL-LHR), Iberia has got MAD-LHR among others, SQ has two widebody routes which also happen to be 5th freedom flights, Air Europa has got a few, Emirates has one which is also a 5th freedom route. And there’s more….
Thanks, that’s really helpful.
I did a search through most of the Euro destinations from DUB on Aer Lingus and I found that the A321NEO also runs to Paris and Rome on certain days. Very tempting, until you factor in:
1. Weird booking process. Need to select Economy AirSpace (there’s no business option) then you see the business seats when selecting seats
2. Price is way too high, around 800-900 euros for dates I was checking
3. Still not bookable on avios.com as no business option for these flights.
It’s kinda crazy that EI has these great seats but isn’t selling them properly. Are they keeping them for people flying in from USA?Thanks, that’s really helpful.

EI connecting passengers doing a US/Canada long haul get assigned into the AerSpace seats. As does anyone outright buying AerSpace on that single short haul flight. United-ticketed passengers and BA-ticketed J passengers making EI connections are seated in rows 2 onwards, with no seat blocking and no service.

By row 2, I meant the standard A320s. On the A321, it’d be row 7 onwards I think.
I can do a quick search on Cirium by aircraft type etc so could actually pull this together quite quickly. Might make a good article.

And perhaps propose a grand itinerary for HfPers to do a couple of the flights together in one go. Some people will be mulling doing the 3 SQ flights this year to generate Star Alliance Gold via Shangri La.

That would be great!
