Hi all.
I booked an avios redemption for 2 seats in business from KUL to CDG on BA executive club this morning for January ’26 and 4 hours later I have not received an email confirmation.
Is it normal to wait this long for ticketing? and at what point should I become worried and phone BA?
Thanks in advance
do you see a ticket number in the BA app beginning 125- ?
Did you get a 6 character booking referenace when you completed the booking?
If so that shows the bookign has been made. You can also look to see if there is a 125- ticket number within the booking in MMB
I’ve got a PNR but no 125- ticket number in the app
Need to call in and make sure it’s correctly queued for ticketing on a partner as it needs to be done quickly, not familiar with Malaysian but many OW airlines will not hold unticketed PNRs for very long (e.g. 24hrs)
So, it turns out despite taking my payment they don’t have the authorisation code from it and thats why its not been ticketed. Having spent 45 minutes on the phone with the exec club, the conclusion was to record my card details and send it to the back office to be rectified. However ‘the system’ was unable to save my card details and therefore I am now waiting a call back from an ‘expert’ later
I’m sure this’ll get sorted out. Could you not try another card?

Are you going to book a separate one way on the 10:40 BA to Heathrow using Avios?
That’s what I’m doing.
By the way, in case anyone cares, try searching for KUL to DUB with a stop over in London. Ensure the London to Dublin flight is on Aer Lingus.
You may find Malaysia Airlines first class availability suddenly comes up unexpectedly and should be bookable.
The stop over will allow you to collect your bags. You can skip the Dublin leg or else use it as an outbound for an Ireland trip another time.
Last time I tried this, it was something like the equivalent of £1600 per person end to end.

It was more an issue that the card wouldn’t save. He seemed to think it was glitch that might be resolved later. If i don’t get the call i’ll ring again tomorrow

I actually live in Scotland so i’m planning to book easyjet direct to glasgow when it goes on sale. Think its normally around 2pm

Blimey, what are you going to do for 8 hours at CDG?
I’ll read a book
I live on an island on the west coast and that flight will get me back to glasgow in time for the ferry which is all i’m interested in. there’s no value in me going to heathrow

No no, understood – wasn’t trying to get you to go to London. Was curious how you were going to kill time as 8 hours is not enough to go into Paris but too long to ‘enjoy’ the airport services.
Ha, ok, fair enough. To be honest I’ve never been to CDG. Guess I’ll book a lounge or something. I’m used to sitting around waiting for travel living up there and I’m sure there’s alcohol available somewhere
