Maximise points for a companion voucher

I have about 100 000 points but wanted to see the best way to convert it into avios and get a companion voucher. I was thinking of referring my wife to get the BA amex PP so I can collect some points and then is it possible to for me to convert my amex points to avios and use a household account to pool her avios and my converted amex points to get a companion voucher? Is this possible?

I’m new to all this and have just saved my points and not sure the best way to convert them into a flight.

You’re on the right track by referring your wife for the BAPP, and using a household account to pool your avios.

Yes, you can convert your MR to avios.

But just to clarify, you don’t convert your avios to earn a companion voucher. You need the BAPP card, and to spend £10k on the card to earn a voucher.
