Does anyone have any recommendations on a decent hotel in central Nottingham?

I have Hilton gold so that has some appeal with the free breakfast. Room rates look quite cheap so if I’m not careful we’ll pay as much for breakfast as we do for the room!

City centre location rather than further afield.

    Thanks in advance

Not so central but I just stayed three nights at the double tree gateway, was pleasantly surprised. Good service, decent sized rooms. Although the food at their restaurant is very over priced. Has free car parking if that makes any difference.

I’m not sure I can recommend the Hilton in the city centre, it was very tired and had quite a strange layout. It was also uncomfortably warm and sfuffy IIRC (although that was over 4 yrs ago).

From the chains, I’d be inclined to consider the Park Plaza or Crowne Plaza.

Maybe also have a look at Harts or The Lace Market Hotel if you want more of a boutique vibe.

The Hilton or Crowne Plaza would be my suggestions, or the Premier Inn (Chapel Bar) – I stayed there a few times before it reflagged from HIE to Premier Inn and its nice and quiet despite the central location.

It has been renovated since you stayed
